Fins aviat Finlàndia --------- See you soon Finland

Ha passat un any des de que vaig arribar a terres fineses. Després d’aquest any puc dir que trobaré a faltar molt Finlàndia i la seva gent. Durant aquest període de temps he conegut a gent de totes les edats, començant per nens fins a gent gran, per tant m’ha permès veure Finlàndia i la seva cultura des de la innocència fins a l’experiència.

No podia marxar d’aquí sense passar una nit al bosc, envoltant del silenci i l’aire fresc que els boscos de Finlàndia ofereixen (sense oblidar els mosquits... ). Aquí pots plantar la tenda allà on vulguis, fins i tot en molts llocs al costat dels llacs hi ha unes cabanyes de fusta perquè hi puguis dormir.

Estic molt feliç amb l’experiència viscuda i fa uns dies passejant per terres fineses a les 11 de la nit em vaig trobar amb aquest regal de comiat. Si mires la foto entendràs el per què.  

Gràcies a tothom, sou una gent encantadora. Gràcies per tots els fantàstics moments que hem passat. He après molt de vosaltres.

I have already been one year in Finnish country. After this year I can say that I will miss so much Finland and their people. In this period I met people in different age, from children to old people, so I know Finland and own culture from the innocence to experience.

I couldn't go away without spend one night at the forest listening the silence and fresh air that Finland’s forest offer you. (I don't forget the mosquitoes...) Here you can camp wherever you want, even there are many places where you can find wood cabins for sleep.

I’m really happy with this experience and a few days ago around 11 at night Finland gave me a big present. Just look the picture and you will understand why.

Thank you to everyone, you are awesome people. Thank you for all the beautiful moments we spent together. I learnt so much.

Reciclar ----- Recycle

El finesos reciclen una mica diferent. Ells separen:

- Tetra Brick i cartró

- Alumini

- Paper

- Rebuig

- Orgànic

Màquines al costat de cada supermercat

- Ampolles de plàstic , ampolles de vidre i llaunes es retornen a la màquina que veus a les fotografies. Aquestes màquines es troben al costat de l'entrada de cada supermercat. Has de col·locar cada ampolla/llauna dins la màquina i aquesta llegeix el codi de barres  i cada ampolla/llauna té un valor econòmic. Per exemple,  una ampolla petita de plàstic val 0,10 €, una llauna 0,15€ i una ampolla de plàstic gran 0,40 €. Així doncs com més ampolles/llaunes més diners. Quan has posat totes les ampolles, la màquina et don un tiquet amb el valor total. Amb aquest tiquet tens dues opcions. La primera el pots fer servir com a diners per pagar la compra o l'altre opció és anar directament a la caixera del supermercat per rebre els diners segons marca el tiquet.

In Finland the recycling works a little bit different that in Spain. They separate:

- TetraBrick and carton

- Metal

- Paper

- Waste

- Organic food

2. Pick up the ticket from the machine

- Plastic bottles, glass bottles and cans. You can return them in the machine that you can see in the pictures. These machines are next to the entrance of each supermarket. You have to put each bottle/can into it and then the machine reads the barcode because each one has a price. For example for a small plàstic bottle you get 0,10€, for a can you get 0,15€ or big plastic bottle you can get 0,40€. So as more bottles/cans more money. After you put in all bottles/cans the machine gives you a ticket with the adding the all of them. With this ticket you have two options. The first option you can go to the supermarket and buy what you need and pay with it. The second option you can go straight to the cashier and she/he gives you the money that there is in the ticket.

Que vol dir "juhannus" ------- What is "juhannus"?

Ahir vam celebrar "juhannus" que significa que estem al mig de l'estiu. És tradició passar el cap de setmana abans del solstici d'estiu en un llac gran i compartir la revetlla amb més gent, tot acompanyats d'una bona foguera, música i uns convidats que ningú vol però que n'hi ha molts, els mosquits o també pots anar a la casa de camp ja que gairebé cada família en té una. Aquesta acostuma a ser petitoneta, a la vora d’algun llac i envoltada de natura i tranquil·litat. Els finesos els agrada molt anar a la casa de camp ja que allà hi troben silenci i poden estar tota l’estona en contacte amb la natura.

Diu la tradició que la nit de "juhannus", les dones que estan solteres han d'anar al bosc i agafar 7 flors diferents per posar-les sota del coixí durant tota la nit. Es veu que aquestes flors fan que somiïs amb el teu futur home... Bé, cal dir que ho he provat però no hi ha hagut sort!!

Ahir vaig acabar el dia amb aquesta fantàstica posta de sol. La vida et regala moments màgics :)

Yesterday we celebrated “juhannusta” that it means midsummer. In Finland is tradition spend all weekend before summer solstice going to a big lake and share the night with more people, a bonfire, music and guests that nobody want but there are a lot. They are the mosquitoes. The other option is to go in the summer cottage which it is a small cottage in the middle of the forest and near it there is a lake. Finnish people like so much to go there because they find the peace and the contact with the nature.

Popular tradition says that the night of midsummer the women who are singles have to go to the forest and pick up seven kinds of flowers. After that they have to put them under the pillow they use for sleep. These flowers make to you dream with your future man… I tried, but it didn't work because there wasn't any man in my dream. 

I ended my day with this awesome sunset yesterday. The life gives you magic moments. :)

Botigues de segona mà - Second-hand store

Tingui&Tongui

M'encanta anar a comprar roba però a la botiga de segona mà "Tingui & Tongui". Aquí és molt comú anar a comprar a la botiga de segona mà perquè tenen la filosofia que si algú altre ho pot fer servir millor que millor. Hi ha diferents maneres diferents d'adquirir productes de segona mà: 

- Anar a una botiga de segona mà on pots trobar roba a diferents preus. Jo m'he comprat una jaqueta per 50ct o un anorac per 7 € i tot amb molt bones condicions.

- Mercat de segona mà online.

- Mercat d'intercanvi de coses, no pots fer servir l'euro per aconseguir alguna cosa, sinó que canvies un objecte per un altre.

- Mercat d’intercanvi però al Facebook on la gent penja les fotografies de les coses que no vol. Si hi ha algú que li interessa el que tu ofereixes doncs a canvi et pot oferir alguna cosa que tu necessitis o simplement un paquet de cafè o galetes.

I like so much to go to buy clothes in the second-hand store called "Tingui & Tongui". In Finland it is common give the material things second life (clothes, shoes, skates, skiis...) because they think that there is someone else that maybe need it. There are different ways to get second-hand things:

-Go to second-hand store and buy what you need. For exemple I have bought an anorak for only 7 € or a sweater for only 0,50€. Both of them look new.

-Second-hand shop online.

-Go to the exchange market. You can change your own thing for another without use the money.

-It works like the exchange market but there is a group in Facebook where you can show to others what thing you don’t need. The person who is interest your offer,she/he can give you for example another thing that you need or just a packet of coffee or cookies.

Com és la llengua finesa? ----------- How is the Finnish language?

Noms de fruites en finès

Diuen que el finés és una de les llengües més difícils d’aprendre, i puc corroborar que així és. Aterres en un lloc on parlen una llengua que mai abans havies sentit i que tot el sembla "xino", és a dir, que no pots fer cap deducció del significat de les paraules. Al principi penses que serà impossible entendre el què diuen però després d'escoltar cada dia finés ja començo a entendre'l i el parlo una miqueta!!

Un dels reptes que em suposava aquesta experiència era cuidar els nens de la família però que aquests només parlen finés i suec, per tant, he aprés i estic aprenent una llengua per necessitat. Al principi entre nosaltres vam buscar alternatives de comunicació entre d'altres utilizar l'aplicació del mòbil google translate o bàsicament quan un dels nens volia una cosa m'agafava de la mà i em portava en el lloc on volia. Hem descobert una manera molt interessant de comunicar-nos. 

Perquè us feu una idea de com es el finés us deixo unes quantes paraules:

Names of fruits in Finnish language

They said that the Finnish language is one of most difficult for learn, I can noticed that’s true. When I arrived I started to listened a language that never before I couldn’t understand nothing… because you can't deduce the meaning of the words. At the beginning I thought that it was impossible to learn Finnish but after almost one year living in Finland I can understand and speak a little bit.

I learn this language for necessity because the children who I had to take care they don’t speak English at all. They speak Finnish and Swedish. At the beginning we looked for communicative alternative such as the app google translate or when the children wanted something they took my arm and he brought me where he wanted. We discovered a different way to communicate between us. 

Here few words in Finnish language :

Hei / Moi / Terve = Hello 
Nähdään / Hei hei / Moi moi / Heippa / Moikka = Bye

Benvinguda primavera - estiu ! --- Welcome spring - summer!

Benvinguda primavera – estiu !! Avui el sol surt a les 3:45 i es pondrà a les 22:43, així que no veig la foscor. Estic esperant els dies 19-20 de juny quan el sol no es pondrà, així que serà de dia durant 24 hores. De la nit al dia tot és verd i les flors donen color a la ciutat i al bosc, no veus una evolució sinó que un dia ho veus tot en diferents tons de verd, és molt bonic!! Però cal dir que hi ha mooolts mosquits!!

Les temperatures oscil·len entre 7°C fins 20°C i fa un parell de setmanes en una conversa entre finesos, vaig dir: Que bé estem a 10°C això ja és estiu!! La seva resposta va ser: Ja ets una autèntica finesa si penses això!!!

Per tant, la natura et convida a passar gran part del dia a fora. Així, que es pot fer?

Welcome Spring- Summer!! Today the sunrise is at 3:45 and the sunset around 22:45, it is amazing! I’m waiting the midsummer (19th – 20th of June) because these days will be 24 hours of sunlight. The temperature is between from 6°C to 20°C. Suddenly everything is green and the flowers give to color at the city and the forest. It is really nice!! :) But there are a lot of mosquitos! 

Couple weeks ago I was talking with a couple Finnish and I said to them: This weather is really nice, we are 10 °C, so that means... Summer! They replied me: if you think it that means that you are a real Finnish!! Maybe I'm already a little Finnish... :)

So, it is time to enjoy outside. What can we do?

Què és “suomi neito”?

De vegades cal mirar les coses amb uns altres ulls per descobrir coses noves. M’he mirat moltes vegades en un mapa Finlàndia però mai havia vist la donzella finesa. Si t’ho mires bé Finlàndia té forma de donzella, el Nord és el cap, tot seguit la donzella només té una mà en contacte amb Suència i Noruega i després la resta del país és un vestit llarg. Així doncs, suomni neito és la doncella de Finlàndia. :)

Segur que després de saber aixó sempre veuras la doncella finesa!!

What is the “suomi neito” ?

Sometimes we should to look the things with other eyes for discover new things. I have looked many times Finland in the map but I have never seen the Finnish maiden. If you look carefully Finland, you can see on North there is a head, then she only has one arm  in contact with Sweden and Norway and the rest of the country is the body with a long dress.  So now you know what do you mean Suomi neito, the Finnish maiden. :) 

I'm sure, after that always you will see the Finnish maiden!!
